Sallah celebration: Nigerian troops treated to Buffet in Damaturu

Nigerian troops stationed in Damaturu, Yobe state were today treated to a buffet by the Chief of Army Staff, Maj. Gen. Tukur Buratai and Gov Ibrahim Gaidam, who served them their meal, in celebration of Eid el-fitr.

Tent goes up outside Bobbi Kristina’s hospice (photo)

The hospice where Bobbi Kristina has been hanging on to life is preparing for something looking at a photo obtained by TMZ. Read the report below…

This is a photo of a tent that was just erected … very possibly to prevent photogs from taking pics of something that is about to happen. The tent is flush against the back of the building. As we reported, Bobbi Kristina’s family is prepared to let her go, after doctors made it clear there was no real hope of recovery. Bobbi Kristina has been at the facility for 3 weeks.

50 killed in today’s bomb blast in Damaturu, 10yr old among female suicide bombers

50 people have been confirmed dead in a twin suicide bomb blast that rocked Damaturu Yobe state this morning. A statement released by the Acting-Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman says an elderly woman and a 10 year old girl were responsible for the attacks.

“This is to confirm that there were two suicide bomb explosions today at about 7:40 a.m. in Damaturu, Yobe, in which two female suicide bombers — one elderly woman and a ten year-old girl –detonated the devices. It occurred at screening areas for intending Muslim worshippers at Layin Gwange, Damaturu and at Phase1, in front of former state secretariat, Damaturu,’’ the statement read.
